Bayern Munich plans a bold €100m bid for a former Chelsea star in a transfer that could shake up German football.

Bayern Munich is eyeing a move for some of Europe’s brightest young talents, with plans to strengthen their attacking options next summer. The Bavarians are particularly keen on Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz, who is valued at around €100 million and is also attracting interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City. Leverkusen, however, hopes to secure the 21-year-old on a new contract, as his current deal runs until 2027.

Another target for Bayern is Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens. The 22-year-old, who has impressed with nine goals in 24 appearances this season, is gaining admiration from Bayern’s sporting directors Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, as well as manager Vincent Kompany. Gittens, a former Chelsea and Manchester City academy player, has become a key figure at Dortmund since making his Bundesliga debut in 2022.

Reports from Sky Sports Germany indicate that Bayern is closely monitoring Gittens, with Dortmund determined to keep him. Should Gittens express a desire to leave, Dortmund is expected to demand a transfer fee of around €100 million.
