An Arsenal player reportedly had his ‘payslip’ exposed after accidentally leaving it in his car at a garage.

An Arsenal player once had their “payslip” allegedly leaked online, providing a rare glimpse into the earnings of a footballer at a top European club.

While footballers are known for earning vast sums, the exact figures are typically kept private by European teams, with only speculative reports in the media. However, unlike leagues like the MLS, which publicly disclose salaries, leaked documents occasionally reveal these details. This is said to have occurred to Arsenal winger Raheem Sterling during his time at Manchester City in 2019.

Reports claim Sterling’s payslip was discovered after being left in his car at a garage, where it was allegedly found and shared online. The document purportedly revealed his basic salary, loyalty bonus, and a staggering £5.4 million tax bill. However, the authenticity of the slip remains unverified, and it could have been altered or fabricated.

Sterling enjoyed a decorated career at Manchester City, scoring 131 goals in 339 appearances and winning four Premier League titles, five League Cups, one FA Cup, and a Community Shield. He moved to Chelsea in 2022 for £47.5 million, where he played 81 games and scored 19 goals.
