Chelsea fans contend that Maresca should have signed a different player in place of Nkunku, rather than opting for Felix.

One of Enzo Maresca’s most debated decisions during the Fulham game was limiting his substitutions to just one. Predictably, Christopher Nkunku came on for Nicolas Jackson with about 25 minutes remaining.

By not utilizing more substitutes, Maresca left experienced players like Joao Felix without any playing time, prompting criticism from some fans. However, other Chelsea supporters argue that subbing in Nkunku as a striker was a mistake altogether. Instead, they believe Marc Guiu, who has impressed in the Conference League but has had limited Premier League opportunities, would have been a better choice.
