Arsenal fans have come up with a surprising theory regarding Bukayo Saka’s potential ‘replacement’ after following a private jet to London.
Arsenal fans have developed a theory about the club’s potential Bukayo Saka ‘replacement’ after tracking a private jet to London.
Saka is expected to be sidelined for ‘many weeks’ due to a serious hamstring injury sustained during the 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace on December 21. The 23-year-old has undergone surgery and is anticipated to be out for at least two months, as confirmed by manager Mikel Arteta.
On Saturday, Saka shared an Instagram post, saying, “The majority see obstacles, but few see the opportunities. Recovery has begun and I’m coming back stronger. Thank you all for your messages #GodsPlan.”
Arteta has stated that the club will explore options to cope with Saka’s absence, though this has been complicated by the news that Raheem Sterling will also miss time due to injury. In the 1-0 victory over Ipswich on Friday, Leandro Trossard was brought into the lineup, with captain Martin Odegaard moving into Saka’s usual role.
However, many Arsenal fans believe Arteta may be looking to bring in an external solution to cover for Saka. The fans noticed a private jet flying from Porto to London on Saturday evening, with reports suggesting Arsenal may recall midfielder Fabio Vieira, who is currently on loan at Porto, in January.
The theory gained traction after Vieira was excluded from the squad for Porto’s 4-0 win over Boavista on Saturday. However, Porto manager Vitor Bruno quickly dismissed the speculation. In his post-match comments, Bruno explained that he had personally left Vieira out of the squad but reassured that the player would fulfill his loan contract. He stated, “For us, talent has to be based on foundations that cannot abandon the condition of an athlete. And when that is lacking, I have to make decisions. Fabio has a lot of talent and will be available next week … we are here
for him.”
