Mo Salah made a six-word statement about his new Liverpool contract following his impressive performance at West Ham.

Mohamed Salah has shared an intriguing response when asked about his contract situation at Liverpool.

The 32-year-old is set to leave the club at the end of the 2024/25 season, with teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the same contract situation. While Van Dijk has been quiet about his future and Alexander-Arnold has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Salah has been the most vocal of the three.

After Liverpool’s 3-2 victory over Southampton on November 24, Salah spoke to reporters about his future, expressing that he felt “more in than out.” He acknowledged his long tenure at Liverpool, saying, “There is no club like this, but in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December, and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.” When asked if he was disappointed, he responded, “Of course… let’s wait and see.”

Following his stellar performance with a goal and two assists in Liverpool’s 5-0 win over West Ham on Sunday, Salah gave another update on his situation. When asked if he expected any good news soon, he bluntly replied, “We are far away from that [agreeing on a new contract].” He continued, “But again, I don’t want to put something in the media and people start saying stuff. But nothing [has] really moved and now I’m focused with the team.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Salah’s form remains unaffected, as he currently leads the Premier League with 17 goals from 18 appearances and 13 assists.
