Arsenal urged to beat Liverpool to sign Premier League star seen as the ideal replacement for Bukayo Saka.

Earlier this month, Arsenal secured a dominant 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, keeping their pursuit of league leaders Liverpool alive. However, the win was overshadowed by Saka’s first-half injury.

On Saturday, it was confirmed that the star winger had undergone surgery, ruling him out for an extended period. Addressing fans on social media, Saka wrote: “Most see obstacles, but few see opportunities. Recovery has started, and I’m coming back stronger! Thank you for your messages.”

This setback may force Arsenal to act in the January transfer window. Former midfielder Adrian Clarke has called on the Gunners to target West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus. Speaking to talkSPORT, Clarke said: “Mohammed Kudus is someone Arsenal have tracked for a while. He’s the perfect replacement for Saka and can also play as a striker. He’s excellent with the ball at his feet. Could Arsenal test West Ham’s resolve with an offer?”

Kudus has impressed since joining West Ham from Ajax, drawing interest from top clubs, including Liverpool, who reportedly view him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.

On the title race, Clarke added: “The past two seasons, Arsenal led but were eventually overtaken, which was tough despite the positives. This season feels different—we’re the chasers now, which might play to our advantage. Liverpool will feel the pressure of being pursued, and it makes for an exciting second half of the

season.”
