Liverpool reportedly target two attacking options for Arne Slot after making a decision on Darwin Núñez.

Liverpool have reportedly identified Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak and Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram as priority targets amid speculation over Darwin Núñez’s potential departure. Núñez, whose contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2028, joined the Reds from Benfica in 2022 for a club-record £85 million. However, his time at Anfield has fallen short of expectations due to inconsistent form and limited opportunities under Arne Slot.

The 25-year-old Uruguayan has made 23 appearances this season, starting 13 games and contributing four goals and three assists. Despite these numbers, Liverpool are reportedly open to offloading Núñez, with AC Milan showing interest. Reports suggest Milan has proposed a €5 million loan deal with an obligation to buy for €45 million.

In light of this, Liverpool are eyeing Alexander Isak, who has been in sensational form for Newcastle United, tallying 13 goals and four assists in 20 matches this season. However, the Swedish striker comes with a significant price tag, as Newcastle reportedly value him at over £150 million.

Marcus Thuram of Inter Milan is another target on Liverpool’s radar. The French forward has a release clause of €85 million and has delivered 13 goals and six assists in 22 appearances this season. Despite his contributions, Inter are reportedly open to selling the 27-year-old for financial gains.

If Núñez moves to AC Milan, it could benefit all parties, giving Liverpool financial flexibility while offering the striker a fresh start. Over his time at Anfield, Núñez has recorded 37 goals and 20 assists in 119 appearances across all compet

itions.
