Man Utd fans are completely shocked upon learning the amount Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer for Marcus Rashford.
Manchester United fans have voiced their opinions on the rumored price for Marcus Rashford’s potential departure, sparking mixed reactions within the fanbase.
The 27-year-old forward has seen his role diminish under Ruben Amorim, being excluded from United’s matchday squads for four consecutive games—against Manchester City, Tottenham, Bournemouth, and Wolves—before being named as a substitute in the 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
In an interview with journalist Henry Winter on December 17, Rashford expressed his readiness for “a new challenge and the next steps.” Since then, clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Al-Ittihad, and Arsenal have been linked with him.
While Arsenal’s interest is described as “tentative,” a deal could materialize if certain conditions are met, according to Football Transfers. One such condition is Raheem Sterling, currently on loan at Arsenal, returning to Chelsea to make room in Mikel Arteta’s squad. Additionally, signing Rashford would reportedly not interfere with Arsenal’s plans to pursue Nico Williams or Rafael Leao.
Rashford, under contract at United until 2028, earns £375,000 per week—significantly higher than Arsenal’s top earner, Kai Havertz, who earns £280,000 weekly. This suggests Rashford might need to accept a pay cut for the move.
However, Football Transfers claims Arsenal are unwilling to pay £25 million for Rashford, viewing him as “nothing more than a squad player.”
United fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the rumored fee:
One fan remarked, “So they haven’t considered it then, have they? Because they’re never going to sell for that.”
Another suggested, “£40-50 million is good enough.”
A third argued, “Arsenal should know he’s worth more than £25 million.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added, “Honestly, at this point, I’d take £25 million for Rashford. It’s the best move for both
him and the club.”
