Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has already revealed to Liverpool and Chelsea his “dream” destination in a major transfer move.
Georgian international Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has reportedly revealed the club he dreams of joining, amid speculation about a potential move away from Napoli.
In the summer of 2022, Kvaratskhelia joined Napoli from Georgian side Dinamo Batumi for a reported fee of €10 million to €12 million. Since then, the 23-year-old has established himself as one of football’s brightest talents, recording 30 goals and 29 assists in 107 appearances. His performances have drawn interest from top clubs across Europe, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.
On Thursday, reports suggested that Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League, might consider pursuing Kvaratskhelia if he decides to leave Napoli in the January transfer window. The Athletic’s David Ornstein stated:
“Liverpool could consider a move to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia if he leaves Napoli in January. LFC is not actively seeking a winger but admires the 23-year-old, is monitoring the situation, and may compete if an opportunity arises. PSG and Chelsea are also among the interested clubs.”
However, Kvaratskhelia has previously expressed his admiration for Real Madrid. Before joining Napoli, he reportedly said: “My biggest dream is to win the Champions League.” When asked with which team, he replied: “With Real Madrid. Since I was a kid, I’ve been a Real Madrid fan. My brothers and I always watched their games.”
In 2023, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano quoted the winger as saying: “Real Madrid was my favorite team during my childhood. Now, I’m 100% focused on Napoli. I’m doing my best to help the team and not thinking about my future.”
Kvaratskhelia’s father, Badri, has also confirmed his son’s passion for Los Blancos. Speaking to GOAL, he said: “For Khvicha, playing against Real Madrid was special. He has always dreamed of playing for them, and I’m convinced he still does. In our family, everyone supports Real Madrid—except me.”
Additionally, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugheli, acknowledged the winger’s affection for the Spanish giants: “His father and I are Barcelona fans, but Kvara loves Real Madrid. If he ever wears a Barca shirt, I’ll be happy, but he’s a Madridis
