Liverpool fans grow frustrated with a player despite their FA Cup win against Accrington Stanley.

Liverpool fans lose patience with Darwin Nunez after his performance against Accrington Stanley.

On Saturday, the Reds faced League Two side Accrington Stanley at Anfield to begin their FA Cup campaign.

Manager Arne Slot made several changes to the lineup, though key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Diogo Jota started. Liverpool dominated early, with Jota opening the scoring in the 29th minute and Alexander-Arnold doubling the lead with a brilliant strike just before halftime.

In the second half, Accrington improved, with Josh Woods hitting the woodwork. However, substitute Jayden Danns secured the win in the 76th minute with a close-range goal, and Federico Chiesa added a late fourth with his first for the club.

Despite the victory, fans expressed frustration with Nunez’s performance on social media. Comments included criticism of his ball control and decision-making, with one fan saying, “Nunez isn’t good enough for this team.” Others noted his inability to capitalize against a lower-league side, with one adding, “Nunez still can’t impress against a League Two team.”

A moment in the first half also drew attention, as Harvey Elliott was visibly frustrated when Nunez chose to shoot despite Elliott being in a better position. One fan remarked, “Elliott was fuming, and rightly so.”

Though Nunez struggled overall, he did provide the assist for Jota’s opener. Liverpool now shift focus to their Premier League match against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night at the C

ity Ground.
