Liverpool have reportedly set an asking price for midfielder Harvey Elliott amid speculation about his potential departure from Anfield.
Elliott started for Arne Slot’s Liverpool in their dominant 4-0 FA Cup win over League Two side Accrington Stanley, with goals from Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jayden Danns, and Federico Chiesa. Despite the victory, reports before the match suggested Elliott could leave Liverpool due to limited playing time this season. He currently ranks behind Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Curtis Jones in the squad hierarchy. Brighton & Hove Albion and Borussia Dortmund are rumored to be interested in signing the 21-year-old.
According to The Sun, Liverpool have set Elliott’s asking price at £35 million to £40 million. This season, he has played just 43 minutes across seven Premier League matches.
Speaking about Elliott, manager Arne Slot acknowledged his talent but noted the challenges players face when returning from long injury layoffs. Slot explained, “Harvey has been unlucky with injuries and is competing with many top players. It takes time to regain top form in this league’s intensity.”
