Man City fans urge Pep Guardiola to drop a player from the team immediately following his costly error against Brentford.

Manchester City fans were left furious with one of their players after the team settled for a draw against Brentford, conceding a late equalizer.

Pep Guardiola’s side had taken a 2-0 lead, thanks to a Phil Foden brace, and seemed on course for a comfortable win. However, the game shifted in the final 10 minutes when Yoane Wissa scored in the 82nd minute, followed by Christian Nørgaard’s 92nd-minute header past Stefan Ortega to secure a 2-2 draw.

While City had been unbeaten in four matches before this, recent performances have been challenging, and this result added to their struggles. Fans were particularly critical of Ortega’s effort to stop the equalizer, with many demanding that Guardiola reinstate Ederson as the starting goalkeeper.

One fan wrote, “Time for Ortega to step down & Ederson to return. Our defense is in shambles; Nunez & Akanji were useless. What a disastrous last 10 minutes.”

Another commented, “I know I’m a better goalie than Stefan Ortega. There’s no reason to play him when Ederson is available.” A third added, “Don’t forget, guys, Ederson was supposedly the problem, and Ortega was meant to be better…”

A fourth fan admitted, “I was backing Ortega over Ederson, but it might be time to switch back to Eddie.”

Ederson has started only 13 of City’s 21 Premier League matches this season, partly due to injuries. However, his poor showing against Feyenoord in the Champions League led to three consecutive games on

the bench.
