However, United are not actively looking to sell Garnacho, whose contract runs until 2028, and Napoli’s initial offer falls short of United’s £70 million valuation.

Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have also shown interest, with reports suggesting they may submit a bid in the region of £58 million. Garnacho has made 117 appearances for United, scoring 23 goals, including key strikes in the FA Cup and Community Shield finals.

United legend Paul Scholes offered a blunt assessment of Garnacho before the game on TNT Sports, saying he wouldn’t be concerned if the club sold him.
