Mohamed Salah drops fresh transfer hint as Al Hilal respond to latest Liverpool speculation

Al Hilal manager Jorge Jesus has confirmed that the club will not pursue Mohamed Salah during the January transfer window but left the door open for a potential move at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old forward, whose current Liverpool contract expires in less than six months, recently admitted he is “far away” from agreeing to new terms at Anfield. Salah has been in stellar form this season, scoring 21 goals in 29 appearances, helping Liverpool maintain their position at the top of the Premier League and Champions League standings.

Despite his contributions, uncertainty over Salah’s future has linked him with a move to Saudi Arabia, where interest from clubs like Al-Ittihad and Al Hilal has been consistent. In August 2023, Liverpool rejected a £150m bid for the Egyptian from Al-Ittihad. On Thursday night, Jesus commented on Al Hilal’s plans, stating, “Mo Salah or other big players will not come this winter… but maybe next season.”

In November, Salah voiced his disappointment at the lack of a contract offer from Liverpool, telling the Sports Bulletin and others that he felt “more out than in” regarding his future at the club. Reflecting on his situation, Salah said, “It’s December, and I haven’t received any offers to stay at the club. I’ve been here for many years, and there’s no club like this, but my future isn’t in my hands.”
