David Ornstein reports that Arsenal are targeting a top-tier player who is highly interested in joining the club.

David Ornstein has revealed significant transfer news regarding Arsenal’s future plans, suggesting they might pursue young Norwegian talent Sverre Nypan. The 18-year-old midfielder, who has impressed at Rosenborg with 13 goals in 53 appearances, has drawn attention from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham. However, Ornstein reports that Arsenal are closely monitoring him and that Nypan is “very keen” on joining Mikel Arteta’s side.

Nypan, already on the radar of top European clubs, is expected to leave Rosenborg soon. Arsenal are considering him as part of their effort to strengthen their pool of young talents, following the examples of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly. Ornstein noted Nypan’s “elite, world-class potential” and highlighted his suitability for a midfield already boasting stars like Declan Rice.

With Rosenborg seeking a resolution before their season begins in April, Arsenal could make a move during the January transfer window to secure the promising midfielder and give him the opportunity to develop alongside players such as Martin Ødegaa
