Jack Grealish hints at his preferred club amid interest from six major teams eager to sign the Man City star.

Jack Grealish has reportedly dropped a significant hint about the next club he “wants to join,” as six teams express interest in signing the Manchester City winger.

Grealish, 29, made the high-profile switch from Aston Villa to Manchester City in the summer of 2021 for a reported £100m fee. During his time at the Etihad, he has collected seven major honors, including the historic treble in the 2022/23 season.

However, over the past two seasons, Grealish has struggled for form and has often been benched. His contract with City runs until June 2027, but he ended a year-long goal drought by converting a penalty in City’s 8-0 FA Cup victory over Salford earlier this month. Despite this, he was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024 last summer.

This season has brought little improvement for Grealish, who has made 21 appearances under Pep Guardiola. Now, he is being linked with a potential move away from the Premier League champions, with six clubs reportedly interested.

Among the clubs keen to sign him are Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United, while European heavyweights Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring his situation.

Although it’s unclear if Grealish has decided on his preferred destination, he previously hinted at a potential return to his boyhood club, Aston Villa. Speaking to The Telegraph in December 2021, Grealish admitted it was “hard” to leave Villa and expressed a desire to return one day.

“I’d never want a toxic relationship with anyone there. I owe everything to them and wouldn’t be at City without Villa,” Grealish said. “It’s a club so close to my heart, and I definitely hope to go back there. That’s always been in my mind.”

While these comments were made four years ago, circumstances may have changed. Villa, under Unai Emery, currently boast a strong roster of wide players, including Jacob Ramsey, Leon Bailey, Emiliano Buendía, and Donyell Malen.
