Manchester United has issued a statement regarding Lisandro Martinez’s injury, expressing deep regret, saying, “It breaks our hearts.”

Manchester United have sent their heartfelt support to Lisandro Martinez after he was stretchered off during the team’s loss to Crystal Palace.

While United were trailing 1-0, Martinez collapsed following a seemingly harmless challenge, with his knee giving way beneath him. The seriousness of the injury was evident as the Argentine defender was visibly in tears while being carried off.

After the match, United took to social media to express their sympathy for Martinez, writing, “Our hearts break for you, Licha,” along with a heartbreak emoji.

In a statement to Sky Sports, Ruben Amorim said, “We’ll know more in the coming days, but I believe it’s a serious issue. He’s not only a great player but also a strong presence in the dressing room. This is tough for us, but now it’s our turn to support Licha, as he does for us every day. As a player, you can tell when it’s something serious. We hope for better days for him, and we’re here to help him through this tough time.”

The injury added to what was already a frustrating day for United. Not only were they trailing 1-0 when Martinez was injured, but Jean-Philippe Mateta also scored his second goal just before stoppage time, further deepening thei

r woes.
