An Arsenal player has reached an agreement to depart the club just hours before the transfer deadline.

With just an hour remaining in the transfer window, one Arsenal star has reportedly agreed to leave the Emirates Stadium.

On Sunday afternoon, the Gunners delivered their most impressive performance of the season, thrashing reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

In front of a jubilant Emirates Stadium crowd, goals from Martin Ødegaard, Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz, and Ethan Nwaneri secured a dominant 5-1 victory for Mikel Arteta’s side. The result brings Arsenal within six points of league leaders Liverpool.

Despite injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, Arsenal opted against signing an attacker in the January transfer window.

Reports then emerged that an Arsenal player had agreed to leave the club at the end of the season. According to The Metro, sources in Italy suggest that midfielder Jorginho has signed a pre-contract agreement with Flamengo.

Speaking earlier this month about his future, Jorginho, who is set to conclude an eight-year spell in the Premier League, remained focused on the present.

“My contract runs until June, and my priority is to focus on the next game in three days. There’s not much else to consider,” he said.

He continued: “Football is unpredictable, and things can change overnight. Every transfer window brings speculation, but if you pay too much attention to the rumors, it drains your energy and affects your performance. My focus remains on the present and giving my best for Arsenal.”
