Saudi club prepared to offer £100m for Liverpool star – but it’s not Salah or Nunez.
Another day, another Liverpool star linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.
While Mohamed Salah and Darwin Núñez have been at the center of speculation regarding a potential switch to the Gulf nation, a new name has now emerged as a target for Saudi clubs.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Al-Hilal are reportedly willing to table a staggering €120m (£100m) bid for Dominik Szoboszlai as they continue their ambitious transfer strategy.
With Neymar’s departure to Santos, the Riyadh-based club is eager to secure another high-profile signing and is prepared to tempt Liverpool’s No. 8 with an offer that could be hard to refuse.
The report also claims that Szoboszlai has caught the attention of several top European clubs, with his stock rising as he plays a crucial role in Liverpool’s title charge.
However, it seems highly unlikely that the Reds would part ways with the in-form Hungarian midfielder anytime soon.
For now, it’s best to take these rumors with caution until they are backed by more credible sources closer to Liverpool.
That said, Al-Hilal’s reported interest underlines just how impressive Szoboszlai has been at Anfield. February was a standout month for him, contributing three goals and an assist. Unlike last season, where fatigue seemed to affect his performances, he now appears to be hitting top form as the campaign enters its decisive phase.
Having now started nine consecutive Premier League games, Szoboszlai has cemented himself as a key figure in Arne Slot’s squad. His performances have been instrumental in Liverpool’s dominant position at the top of the table, currently sitting 13 points clear.
Given his impact, it’s no surprise that clubs are keen on him—but even with a nine-figure offer from Saudi Arabia, it’s hard to imagine Liverpool letting go of the 24-year-old anytime soon.
