Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has sent a strong message to Liverpool, insisting his team was unfortunate not to win the first leg of their Champions League tie.

The result came despite an outstanding performance from PSG, who were repeatedly denied by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson, with key saves against Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué.

Enrique described the game as “strange” and was visibly frustrated, believing Liverpool had been fortunate to escape with a win. However, he remains confident in PSG’s ability to turn the tie around.

Speaking post-match, the Spanish coach said:

“A comeback at Anfield? Of course, we can do it. We’re going to do it. The result was very unfair. They had one shot and scored. Their best player was the goalkeeper. It’s a bit strange. I’m very proud of my team—we were far better than Liverpool.”

Liverpool have had a strong season, so labeling this result as lucky may seem harsh. However, PSG dominated the match, and Alisson’s heroics were the only thing preventing a convincing win for the French champions.
