“Highly unjust” – PSG manager Luis Enrique issues a warning to Liverpool following a “strange” first leg.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has issued a warning to Liverpool, claiming his team was unlucky not to win the first leg.

PSG trail 1-0 heading into the return fixture at Anfield after Harvey Elliott’s late goal secured victory for Liverpool at the Parc des Princes.

The match saw a standout performance from Reds goalkeeper Alisson, who produced a series of outstanding saves to deny efforts from Ousmane Dembélé and Désiré Doué.

Enrique described the game as “strange” and was visibly frustrated, believing Liverpool were fortunate to escape with a win.

Despite the setback, Enrique remains confident that PSG can turn the tie around in the second leg, insisting his side outperformed Liverpool.

Speaking after the game, the Spanish coach said:

“A comeback at Anfield? Absolutely. We’re going to do it. The result was completely unfair. They had one shot and scored, while their goalkeeper was their best player. It felt a bit strange. I’m extremely proud of my team—we were far superior to Liverpool.”

While Liverpool have enjoyed an impressive season, this wasn’t one of their best performances. PSG dominated, and if not for Alisson’s heroics, the scoreline could have been very different.

It remains to be seen whether Arne Slot’s side can hold their nerve again at Anfield or if PSG will capitalize on their dominance to turn the tie in their favor.
