Liverpool have inquired about a €40m transfer as the player has been given the green light to leave.

Liverpool have reportedly inquired about Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, who is expected to be on the move in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Coman could be available for around €40m, though the French winger himself seems to favor a move to Saudi Arabia. While Liverpool’s interest remains in the early stages, Arsenal and Newcastle have also been linked with the 28-year-old, as previously reported by CaughtOffside.

Plettenberg’s update suggests that Bayern Munich is open to letting Coman leave, with relations between all parties remaining positive. At this stage of his career, Coman may not be more than a squad player for Liverpool, particularly given his recent dip in form despite a successful career at the top level.

While European clubs may hesitate to meet Bayern’s €40m valuation, Saudi clubs—who have been investing heavily in star players—appear more likely to afford such a fee. Given Mohamed Salah’s contract situation, Liverpool might consider reinforcing their wide options, though younger and more cost-effective alternatives could also be explored.
