Report: Mohamed Salah’s agent offers him to a Champions League club
Mohamed Salah Set to Become a Free Agent Amid Uncertain Future
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is on course to become a free agent this summer, with no agreement reached on a contract extension at Anfield.
The Egyptian star has been Liverpool’s standout performer this season, netting 27 goals and providing 17 assists in 29 Premier League appearances. His contributions have pushed the Reds closer to another league title, while their Champions League ambitions remain strong, given his exceptional form.
Widely regarded as the best player in the world right now, Salah could soon be free to leave the Premier League leaders in search of a new challenge.
According to SPORT, his representatives have offered him to Barcelona, despite also engaging in talks with Saudi club Al-Hilal, who are looking for a replacement for Neymar following his return to Santos.
While Al-Hilal are financially well-equipped to secure Salah’s signature, a move to Barcelona would likely require him to accept a pay cut. It remains to be seen whether the Egyptian international is open to such a compromise. The Spanish giants are in search of an attacker capable of playing across the frontline, making Salah an ideal target given his experience, goal-scoring prowess, and winning mentality.
Liverpool, however, risk making a costly mistake by allowing him to leave for free. Their only chance of retaining him is by offering a deal too good to refuse—something they have yet to do. Meanwhile, the Reds are already exploring options to replace their talisman.
Reports have also surfaced regarding Salah’s contract demands at Liverpool, which could determine whether he stays or departs this summer.
