Roy Keane and Gary Neville share their predictions for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

Liverpool players are looking to regroup after their Champions League exit and shift their focus to securing the Carabao Cup on Sunday.

Speaking on Stick To Football, Gary Neville predicted a Liverpool victory, saying: “I think Liverpool will win 2-1 or 2-0… 2-0 Liverpool. Do you know something? Newcastle never play well at Wembley. When you watch Newcastle at Wembley, you see all their fans who have traveled for six or seven hours, and you just think, ‘go on and give them something, surprise them.’”

Roy Keane then followed up with his own prediction: “3-1, yeah.”

Both pundits are backing Liverpool to lift the trophy at Wembley, and fans will hope their predictions come true.

After winning the cup last season, retaining it would be a significant achievement, especially as Liverpool enter the final as favorites. However, their recent defeat to PSG and injuries to key players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ibrahima Konaté mean the match is far from a certainty.

Newcastle also have injury concerns, making the starting line-ups for both teams an interesting aspect to watch—particularly in defense.

Arne Slot will need to ensure his squad is mentally and physically prepared after their taxing European campaign. Despite the challenges, this final presents the perfect opportunity to bounce back and claim the first trophy of a new era.
