“Is that so?” – Gary Neville stunned by Roy Keane’s forecast for Fulham vs. Liverpool.

Roy Keane’s prediction for Liverpool’s visit to Fulham on Sunday left Gary Neville more than a little surprised.

After securing a Merseyside derby victory midweek, Liverpool will look to continue their momentum at Craven Cottage. They’ll know what Arsenal has done in their match against Everton the day before, and with Arsenal 12 points behind in the league and both teams having 24 points left to play for, many believe Liverpool are too far ahead to be caught.

However, Keane predicts a twist in the title race this weekend, one that might leave Liverpool fans uneasy about the remaining seven matches of the season.

Neville was shocked by Keane’s bold prediction on The Overlap, where Keane suggested Fulham would win 2-1 at home. Initially, Neville had considered an away win or a 2-2 draw, but he was left stunned by Keane’s forecast, responding off-camera, “Really?…Wow!”

While it wasn’t entirely surprising to hear former Man United players suggest Liverpool could drop points, Jamie Carragher also believes the game will end in a draw.

Fulham, who are just six points off fifth place, are aiming for a potential Champions League spot, though they’ve recently suffered defeats to Crystal Palace and Arsenal. Meanwhile, Liverpool have bounced back from their Carabao Cup disappointment, maintaining their 12-point lead over Arsenal, and haven’t lost in the league since mid-September.

Although Liverpool drew 2-2 with Fulham at home in December, a match impacted by Andy Robertson’s early red card, they’re likely to face a tough test on Sunday. Fulham’s recent struggles, including a poor FA Cup showing against Palace, could mean Liverpool finds a way to secure a vital win—just as title-chasing teams often do.

If Liverpool can prove the pundits wrong, a potential trophy party at Anfield on 25 May will feel even closer.
