Arne Slot remains keen on signing RB Leipzig defender Lutsharel Geertruida, according to Sky Sports.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold increasingly likely to join Real Madrid, Liverpool have started exploring potential right-back replacements.

Sky Sports reports that Arne Slot remains highly interested in Lutsharel Geertruida, a player he previously coached at Feyenoord and who currently plays for RB Leipzig. The Dutch international is seen as a strong tactical fit for Slot’s approach. Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Jeremie Frimpong, who continues to impress at Bayer Leverkusen.

Despite these external options, the club still has confidence in its current squad. Conor Bradley is being seriously considered for an expanded role next season, while Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez are also seen as capable of filling in at right-back if necessary.

Geertruida, under contract until June 2029, is valued at €27 million by Transfermarkt and has made 36 appearances this season, registering one goal and one assist.
