What Isak has concluded regarding a potential move to Liverpool following his meeting with Newcastle’s owners yesterday.

Alexander Isak continues to be strongly linked with a departure from Newcastle United, as he pushes for a move to Liverpool.

According to The Telegraph, Newcastle’s ownership, including co-owner Jamie Reuben and members of the PIF delegation, met with Isak at his home on Monday in an attempt to persuade him to stay. However, the Swedish striker reportedly reaffirmed his determination to leave and join the Premier League champions, describing the move as a dream opportunity.

Newcastle’s efforts to change his mind appear to have failed. Isak has missed the entire pre-season and hasn’t featured in either of Newcastle’s first two Premier League matches, signaling his clear intent to leave the club.

Liverpool, who remain eager to complete the signing, view the latest developments as a positive sign. Although their initial £110 million bid was rejected, the Merseyside club is expected to return with an improved offer.

While Newcastle have been reluctant to part ways with one of their top players, keeping an unhappy star could be counterproductive. A sale would allow them to reinvest in suitable replacements and move forward. The situation is expected to evolve further in the coming days.
