Arsenal intensifies pursuit of £100m-rated Premier League star.

Arsenal are reportedly ramping up their pursuit of Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimarães, who is valued at around £100million. The Brazil international has excelled at St James’ Park, showcasing the talent that could see him thrive at a bigger club in the near future.

Guimarães first gained attention at Lyon, where his performances hinted at a promising future at the top level. After further developing his skills at Newcastle, the 27-year-old has now attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester City, according to Fichajes. Both clubs are monitoring the midfielder, with City possibly viewing him as a solution to Rodri’s absence due to a long-term injury.

While Arsenal have demonstrated their willingness to spend big on players like Declan Rice, securing Guimarães could be a challenge, particularly with City’s financial power and appeal. The Etihad Stadium might offer a more guaranteed path to trophies, which could influence the player’s decision.

Newcastle, however, have successfully retained key players such as Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, and their fans will be hopeful that Guimarães can resist the lure of a transfer to remain a pivotal figure at the club.
