Arsenal is set to offload three key first-team players in January, according to an insider.

Arsenal is reportedly considering selling three first-team players in January to generate funds for reinvesting in Mikel Arteta’s squad. According to Mick Brown, a former scout for Manchester United and Tottenham, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Kieran Tierney could all be sold. Brown previously mentioned that Arsenal is open to offers for Jesus amid growing interest in the 27-year-old.

Tierney and Zinchenko, both 27, are now also on the potential departure list due to their limited roles in the team. Tierney has not featured at all this season, after spending part of last year on loan at Real Sociedad, while Zinchenko’s standing in the squad has diminished, particularly with the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori.

As a result, Arsenal aims to spark interest in these players, believing the proceeds from their sales could help strengthen the squad in key areas. Brown, who has a wealth of experience in player recruitment, explained that the club is looking to reduce its wage bill and raise money by offloading players who no longer feature in the manager’s plans. These players, he added, are more likely to be sold than other high-value assets like William Saliba, who Arsenal would be hesitant to part with. Brown emphasized that selling fringe players is often necessary to refresh the squad and create room for new backup options.
