Chelsea’s new signing makes history as he becomes the first player ever to…

Chelsea’s new signing, Estevao Willian, has made history with his exceptional performance, further showcasing his impressive abilities. The 17-year-old forward will join the Premier League club next year after securing a €60 million deal with Palmeiras this summer. While he won’t join Chelsea until 2025 due to his age, the Blues have already invested €34 million to lock in his signature.

Fabrizio Romano recently praised Chelsea’s business strategy, noting that the club acted swiftly and effectively to sign the Brazilian talent. He also revealed that Bayern Munich attempted to derail Chelsea’s plans but ultimately, Estevao had already committed to the Blues, forcing Bayern to sign Michael Olise instead.

Estevao continued his strong season by scoring his 12th goal of the Brazilian Serie A campaign yesterday, adding 8 assists for a total of 20 goal involvements in just 27 matches. With five league games still to go, he has made history as the first-ever player under 18 to reach 20 goal involvements in a single Serie A season.

Estevao, often compared to Neymar and nicknamed “Messinho” for his left-footed skill and ability to play on the right wing, is set for a bright future at Chelsea. When he turns 18 next year, he is expected to quickly integrate into the first team. For now, he is focused on defending Palmeiras’ league title, with his club currently four points behind leaders Botafogo.
