Liverpool are eager to secure a deal for Inter Milan’s standout player, Marcus Thuram.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Thuram joined Inter Milan on a free transfer last year and had an impressive debut season in Serie A, contributing 20 goals and assists in 35 league appearances and helping the club secure the Scudetto. This season, the French forward has continued to shine, recording eight goals and two assists in 13 appearances across all competitions. He has also established himself as a key player for the French national team under Didier Deschamps.

With Mohamed Salah’s future uncertain as his contract expires at the end of the season, Liverpool are reportedly exploring options to strengthen their attack, and Thuram has emerged as a potential target. However, the 26-year-old still has three and a half years left on his current contract, and Inter value him at around £71 million. Thuram is said to be happy at the club and not actively seeking a move, meaning Liverpool would need to work hard to convince him if they decide to pursue a deal.

The report also notes that Thuram is not the only option for Liverpool. Real Sociedad’s Takefusa Kubo is another player on their radar. While Thuram is versatile—able to play as a left winger, center-forward, or second striker—he is not a natural right-winger and may not be the ideal replacement for Salah. In contrast, Kubo, a left-footed right-winger, could be a better fit to fill the Egyptian’s role.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will make a formal move for Thuram in the coming months. Meanwhile, the Reds currently sit at the top of the Premier League table with 28 points from 11 games, five points clear of reigning champions Manchester City. Their campaign resumes after the international break with a league clash against Southampton this weekend.
