Liverpool manager Arne Slot is reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Despite being content at Inter, where he is under contract until the summer of 2028 with a €85 million release clause, the 27-year-old French international has impressed this season with eight goals and five assists in 15 appearances across all competitions. Thuram is known for his versatility, capable of playing centrally or on the left wing.

 

Liverpool’s reported interest in Thuram may seem surprising given their already strong attacking options, including Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Cody Gakpo for the center forward role, and Luis Diaz and Federico Chiesa competing on the left. However, with Liverpool topping the Premier League, five points ahead of Manchester City, top players may be drawn to their current form.

 

Thuram’s Inter are also performing well, sitting fourth in Serie A, just one point behind leaders Napoli.
