Liverpool rekindle their pursuit of a €25m-rated French winger.

According to reports from France, Liverpool have reignited their interest in a former target from Ligue 1 as they prepare to bolster their squad despite an impressive start to the season.

Under Arne Slot, the Reds have secured 15 wins in 17 matches, sitting atop both the Premier League and Champions League standings. Remarkably, this success has come with minimal squad investment following Jürgen Klopp’s departure.

French outlet L’Équipe claims Liverpool are now eyeing French winger Ryan Cherki, a France U21 international who has previously been linked with a move away from Lyon. The Reds reportedly made an enquiry for Cherki, who signed a new contract with Lyon after being heavily linked with Liverpool earlier this year.

The 21-year-old playmaker, valued at €25 million under his current deal, has caught Liverpool’s attention once again. PSG, with sporting director Luís Campos known to be an admirer, are also rumored to remain interested in the talented winger.

Cherki, a product of Lyon’s academy, has featured in 11 games this season, contributing two goals and three assists. Over his career with the club, he has made more than 150 appearances, scoring 20 goals.
