Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji has pulled out of Switzerland’s squad because of an adductor injury.

Swiss international Manuel Akanji was on the bench for the loss to Brighton, but manager Pep Guardiola had shared before the game that the center-back felt “so bad” he could barely move.

Expected Return Date: Saturday, November 23, against Tottenham (home).

Jeremy Doku will also miss joining the Belgium squad due to a thigh strain, having pulled a quadriceps muscle.

Unlike Akanji, Doku wasn’t in the squad at the Amex, with Guardiola noting that his injury prevents him from running at full speed.

Expected Return Date: Saturday, November 23, against Tottenham
