Manchester United eyeing France international as potential January transfer target?

Manchester United may reportedly seek a loan deal for a striker during the January transfer window. Ruben Amorim is set to officially begin his role at Old Trafford on Monday, aiming to revive United’s season as they push to secure a top-seven league position.

Ahead of their upcoming match with Leicester City, United holds the third-worst attacking record in the league, underscoring their need for offensive reinforcements. Strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have only two goals combined, and Alejandro Garnacho is the only player to score more than once in the Premier League this season.

Due to this, United may consider signing a striker in January, with Viktor Gyokeres as a possible target. However, given the cost of the Swedish forward, United might instead prioritize a short-term addition. According to TBRfootball, PSG could be open to loaning out Randal Kolo Muani, who has had limited starts in Ligue 1 and the Champions League. While Kolo Muani hasn’t scored for PSG since September, he remains a key player for France, recently scoring twice in the UEFA Nations League.

Although Kolo Muani could be an attractive option, United may hesitate unless they can offload Zirkzee, who has struggled to meet expectations. Additionally, Manchester City, Arsenal, and West Ham United are also reportedly considering a move for Kolo Muani. Both City and Arsenal could benefit from an additional striker, with City needing cover for Erling Haaland and Arsenal lacking a traditional number nine.
