Martin Zubimendi issues a transfer caution to Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City regarding their January interest.

Martin Zubimendi, the Real Sociedad midfielder, has dismissed rumors surrounding a potential January move to the Premier League, stating that he is “not wasting energy on outside noise.” Zubimendi turned down an opportunity to join Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but speculation about a move to Anfield persists. Arsenal and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors, especially after City’s setback with Rodri’s likely season-ending ACL injury.

Despite the ongoing rumors, Zubimendi emphasized his focus on his current situation, expressing that he is content with how he is managing the attention. “There will always be rumors, especially with January approaching, but I don’t let them distract me,” he said.

Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed that Liverpool manager Arne Slot remains a strong admirer of Zubimendi, but he’s not alone in his interest. Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta and Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso are also keen on the Spanish international. Alonso’s future with Leverkusen is uncertain, with speculation linking him to both Real Madrid and Manchester City.
