Official: Real Madrid midfielder sustains ankle injury; sidelined for one month
Real Madrid has officially announced that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni is facing a period on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury.
“Following medical tests conducted today on our player Aurelien Tchouameni by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. His recovery will be monitored,” the club’s statement read.
Reports initially surfaced following Real Madrid’s 3-1 loss to AC Milan, indicating that the 24-year-old sustained a minor injury and would undergo further evaluation. It is now confirmed that Tchouameni has indeed sprained his left ankle, ruling him out for an extended period.
According to journalist Arancha Rodriguez, Tchouameni is expected to miss around a month of play, posing a challenge for Real Madrid.
Although Tchouameni’s recent performances have been somewhat inconsistent, he remains a trusted figure for manager Carlo Ancelotti, despite recent rumors suggesting the coach’s growing doubts about the former Monaco star.
This injury means Tchouameni will likely miss Real Madrid’s upcoming fixtures against Osasuna, Leganes, Liverpool, Getafe, Athletic Club, and potentiall
y Girona.
