Ruben Amorim could secure an early victory for Man United over Liverpool through a £50m transfer move.

Speculation is already growing about potential transfers during Ruben Amorim’s first window as Manchester United’s head coach.

Amorim, who was announced as Erik ten Hag’s successor earlier this month, will oversee his debut match against Ipswich Town away next Sunday. The 39-year-old’s immediate goal will be to guide United up the Premier League standings before the end of the year.

It’s uncertain which players, if any, United will target in January, but reports suggest they could face competition from rivals. According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, United are interested in signing AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic. The report claims Liverpool and West Ham are also in the race for the U.S. international.

Pulisic, who joined Milan from Chelsea in summer 2023, is already being linked with a move away from San Siro. While Milan reportedly prefer to retain him, it’s suggested they could demand over €60m (£50m) for his transfer.

The right-winger has impressed this season with seven goals and five assists. United already have players like Amad, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, and Marcus Rashford capable of playing in wide attacking roles, but Pulisic could add further depth and quality.

Amorim is set to evaluate his squad as international players return this week, with decisions on potential reinforcements expected ahead of the January transfer window.
